My Story

As a senior in college, I had my first screenplay optioned before I graduated. Within two years, I was a failed screenwriter waiting tables at an Applebee’s in New Jersey.  Then I went to Wall Street and somehow found my way into computers in the late 90’s. I co-founded Edulence in 2002, created Knowledgelink as one of the first video training platforms in 2004, sold the company in 2020 and got back to creating original scripted content at my new production studio, Syntax + Motion, on the shore of Lake Champlain in Burlington, VT.

I created Knowledgelink as one of the first subscription-based online training services and evolved it into a software platform to help experts and corporations educate and interact with employees and customers anywhere. Knowledgelink has gone on to deliver hundreds of thousands of online courses each year to over half a million users and become the leading video training platform in multiple vertical industries. Learn more here.

The team at Edulence scaled the Knowledgelink business to earn several industry awards over the years, including consecutive years on the Inc. 5000 list of fastest growing companies in America. In 2020, Edulence was acquired by eLearning Brothers to make Knowledgelink the LMS platform for one of the most trusted brands in the Learning & Development space. The exit allowed me to invest in original podcast show productions and the launch of our own storytelling collective, Station Obscura, to discover the next generation of great screenwriters and provide them a platform to share their best stories in audio fiction. Learn more here.

I started the Learning Life Show in 2017 as a way to learn more about the experts and thought leaders who spoke for my chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organization in New York City.  After producing one season of episodes, we decided to make a greater commitment to the show, broaden our guest list and grow our audience.  We’ve now released over 100 episodes and have learned many lessons from our amazing guests along the way.  If you’re into learning new things from experts in all walks of life or you happen to be one, then you came to the right place.

Syntax + Motion produces online courses, interactive video series and podcast shows of all shapes and sizes. Our small team of super producers is as adept at creating an interactive video course for a major thought leader as we are at launching an original scripted fiction podcast show.  Learn more here.

Happy Learning,
